Using Fireworks Software for Magazines and Posters

Remember:

Vectors- Lines, shapes and text. Computer uses a formula to create the contours of the shape and it will not blur no matter the size

Bitmap- pixels which can blur if enlarged out of focus

But, you can combine the two to make an image!

Use the following programmes to practise your skills for the magazine front cover:

Bitmap
Create a cover for a dvd case
Create a photo mosaic graphic

Vector
Creating a seating plan of a football stadium

Always SAVE any image as a .png file. If you save as a jpeg you won't be able to edit it as easily.

You should use FIREWORKS for your magazine IMAGE and PUBLISHER for the TEXT
