Media Trip to School of Creative and Cultural Industries

On Monday 25th October, five of us set off on a sleepy Monday morning to embark on a filming masterclass- Destination Wales. A huge detour and a slightly stressed teacher later, we arrived at Cardiff's Atrium 11.30am.

During the masterclass, our students studied the skills and techniques of filming before being provided with a camera to shoot a short piece of their own. The girls were given the genre of thriller and were provided with a series of scenes to base their production around.

It was a valuable trip for the students who all expressed how useful they found it to be. I look forward to returning next year with several more of you and an installed SatNav- to counteract any potential unwanted detours. A great day all round!
